1. About these terms
These terms govern your use of the Shamo Tours & Travel website and the services we provide. By submitting an inquiry or making a booking with us, you accept these terms. Shamo Tours & Travel is located at Arua Park, F2-664-665, Kampala, Uganda.
2. Our role
We act as an agent arranging travel services; flights, accommodation, tours, vehicle hire, visas and related services supplied by third parties such as airlines, hotels and tour operators. Each supplier's own terms (including fare rules and cancellation policies) apply to the services they provide, and we share the relevant conditions with you before you confirm a booking.
3. Quotations and prices
Quotations are free and carry no obligation. Prices in quotations are subject to availability and may change until the booking is confirmed and paid for. Airfares in particular can change at any time before ticketing. Prices on the website (including tour package prices) are indicative and confirmed in your personal quotation.
4. Bookings and payment
A booking is confirmed when we receive the agreed payment and issue your confirmation. We currently accept bank transfer, mobile money and cash at our office; payment details are provided with your quotation. For some services, suppliers require full or partial payment before confirmation.
5. Changes and cancellations
Changes and cancellations are governed by the relevant supplier's rules some tickets and rates are flexible, others are non-refundable or carry fees. We always communicate the applicable conditions before you book, and we handle change and refund requests with the supplier on your behalf. Our own service fees, where charged, are non-refundable once the work has been performed.
6. Travel documents and requirements
You are responsible for holding valid travel documents: a passport with sufficient validity, the required visas, and any health certificates (such as yellow fever vaccination) for your itinerary. Our visa advisory service provides guidance and application support, but the decision to grant a visa rests solely with the relevant embassy or authority, and we cannot guarantee approval.
7. Liability
We exercise professional care in selecting and booking with suppliers, but we do not own or operate the airlines, hotels, vehicles or tour services we arrange. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for the acts or omissions of those suppliers, or for events beyond our reasonable control such as weather, flight delays, schedule changes or border closures. We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance for every trip.
8. Website content
We work to keep the information on this website including destination guides, visa notes and prices accurate and current, but it is provided for general guidance and can change without notice. Always confirm the details that matter with your consultant before booking.
